Sligo Greenway Proposed Route Options: "Orange Corridor" NOT "Blue Corridor" -
The Issue
The Collooney - Bellaghy Greenway Project has now progressed to Route Options Selection. Two Options have been put on the table for Public Consultation
"Orange Corridor" - Following the disused Collooney-Claremorrise ruined rail line.
OR
"Blue Corridor" - Follow the existing N17 Road.
It is clear that the most straightforward, SAFEST & CHEAPEST Option is the "Orange" Corridor. Use it for now until a new Railway line maybe rebuilt in the future. A Greenway alongside the notoriously dangerous N17 simply isnt a viable option.
