Slaughter in the name of Art?

Students in the Sculpture 3 class at my high school proposed the idea of dumping live fish into resin, which causes significant eye, skin, and respiratory irritation- as well as nausea and ultimately suffocation.
The stress that fish experience when thrust into an environment in which they cannot breathe may even exceed that of a human drowning, as researched by Dr. Culum Brown.
“It would be an unjustified error to assume that fish do not perceive pain in these situations merely because their responses do not match those traditionally seen in mammals subjected to chronic pain.” -Michael Stoskopf
Please prevent this atrocity from happening!!
