Students in the Sculpture 3 class at my high school proposed the idea of dumping live fish into resin, which causes significant eye, skin, and respiratory irritation- as well as nausea and ultimately suffocation.

The stress that fish experience when thrust into an environment in which they cannot breathe may even exceed that of a human drowning, as researched by Dr. Culum Brown.
