We the owners, residents, and members of the Skyway Marina District respectfully request the denial of a special use permit for the proposed Tommy's car wash on 34th Street South. We have worked very diligently to change the character of this area and have succeeded thus far with several quality, large-scale developments. We have obtained the assurance of those developers who have out parcels to entice quality tenants - particularly fine dining restaurants, which are lacking in our area. Automotive services are in ample supply and we are at a tipping point of undermining our achievements. With yet another car wash being proposed in our small district, we could forever seal the fate of our initiative.
