The purpose of the petition is to formally request a Special General Meeting (“SGM”) of the Club to put forward the motion of a vote of no confidence in the current committee, with the requested outcome should that motion be passed being a spill of the current committee and a transparent, democratic re-election of all committee positions. In accordance with section [35] of the Club constitution, we would require signatures from 5% of members, which equates to [approx 25 members] to request an SGM. According to the constitution, once we have made the request with the required number of signatures, the current committee has up to 3 months to organise the SGM.
