In light of the Covid-19 situation, SJI has decided to stop the use of air-conditioning for students. As such, we were allowed to wear half-uniform, giving us some respite from the hot,humid weather.

Unfortunately, starting from Term 2, we students can neither wear half-uniform nor use the air-con. Instead, school uniform must be worn on Mon,Wed and Thurs while casual Fri can be worn on Tues and Fri. This is almost no different from the usual arrangement (Casual Fri on Fridays)

The uniforms, particularly the IB uniform is extremely hot as it is two layered (green layer inside). Without Aircon, many classrooms are very stuffy and hot. We are unable to pay attention and last through the whole school day.

Other schools (e.g. NYJC,SAJC etc) have only just begun dress down and have started using air-conditioning. Sign this petition and share it to get back our half uniform!
