Some government officials have hinted that they are okay for 377A to be repealed, and WE DISAGREE.

Singapore is a conservative society which values traditional families of one man and one woman with children. We believe that our penal code, which was drafted by our own founding fathers from our independence in 09 Aug 1965, should be here to stay. 

If 377A in the penal code is repealed, Singapore will start treating LGBT people like equal members of society, just like other countries around the world. This cannot be allowed, and our law today already says that this is not possible.

India has already changed their laws due to pressure from Western countries, and if we change our laws as well, it sends the signal that there is foreign interference into our domestic politics.

Minorities in Singapore should not be allowed to impose their values on us all. Being a plural and diverse place, minorities must learn to accept the views of the majority here. Otherwise there will be conflict and social disharmony. 

Hence, if you a part of the conservation majority in Singapore, please sign this petition to support and reiterate our position to the Singapore government that we want the Penal Code 377A to stay.
