Simple Steps to help Lolita's Retirement become reality!

The Issue

Simple Steps to help Lolita's Retirement become reality:

1. The best thing we all can do for Lolita is DON'T BUY A TICKET to the Miami Seaquarium, and don't let anyone you know do it either.

2. Educate yourself.
Read the information at www. orcanetwork. org (Captivity/Lolita). You will be very surprised at what you don't know.

3. Educate your friends. Spread the word, do not support WOMETCO ENTERPRISES (Baskin Robbins). They are the owners of the Miami Seaquarium.

also don't support these organizations that are involved with the Seaquarium:

Sun Trust Bank
City National Bank
Baskin Robbins
Speedo
(email SERVICE@SPEEDOUSA.COM and tell them that you will not support them because they made a commercial with Lolita in it, inadvertently contributing to her poor care at the Miami Seaquarium)
Mike's Hard Lemonade
(Go to http://www. mikeshard. com/blog/contact/ and send a message to Mike's Hard Lemonade saying that you will not use their product until they stop supporting the Miami Seaquarium)
Coca-cola
Kodak
Miami Metro Ford

4. Arrange a screening of LOLITA - Slave to Entertainment at your school, community center, local library, or PBS station. You can view it under videos for free.

5. Call or write to APHIS and Mayor Alvarez. Urge them to enforce the Animal Welfare Act regarding Lolita's tank dimensions. Ask them to come to Miami and let Lolita retire in her native waters for good.

I'm very passionate about freeing Lolita, the Orca that has been on display at the Miami SeaPrison for close to 40 years. I have started a weekly beach cleanup in my town of Surfside and am determined to make this world a better place.
