Bring Back Kitchen Gang

Bring Back Kitchen Gang
The Issue
I was in a house full of people and they were all my friends. Some of them I knew less about and others I knew more about. In the house we would invite more people to join us and this one day a girl by the name of Anabel came in. She was having a good time and talking with all of the other housemates in our general space. In the house we created subgroups because it helped better organize all of the people we had. One of those subgroups went by the name of "Kitchen Gang". Kitchen gang had a lot of Original Members of the house that were part of it. Anabel saw the name of "kitchen gang" and argued that it made her feel uncomfortable and that we should remove it. Henceforth, it was removed. A woeful day indeed, however it is my belief that we can one day bring back kitchen gang. Why should many of the original members of the house have to abide by the feelings of a newer member? What sort of hierarchy works in such a way? and if this is really the way the hierarchy works, what is the point of having any subgroups and why not just give everyone the same role?
