I want every citizen of Ireland to have access to proper services throughout our entire country , all regions,ranging from full facilities in medical institutes (safe, efficient, reliable)  to exchequer investment of new infrastructure in neglected areas (hospitals), revenue for schools & education aswell as new jobs in science & medical tech., social housing for people without homes, reduce the power of gangs and stop related violence / killings,  a complete societal move away from plastic as a commodity  in our lives and to reduce global warming by going green literally while future generations still have a chance. Easy right?

How is all this possible.. Legalization of the whole whole cannabis plant. Cannabis is green,renewable, clean, healthy, natural , packed with 100's of active compounds that are beneficial in so many ways.It cleans carbon pollutants in the air, etc. I could go on but at this stage I think there's enough evidence in the past 10 years to consider this a no brainer.

I don't rant too often but here is one.. Bear with me till the end.. If you are empathetic towards any of the points please like and share with someone.

With one move the Irish government or any other still living in the past for that matter could help solve a lot of country's many issues..It's a large and ever-growing list. Here are a few but they are pretty major. You can judge at the end.

Increased exchequer revenue from taxed sales = money for ;

MEDICAL ; badly needed facilities - no outrageous waiting lists, a bed for everyone, regional modern facilities , proper services in each county throughout the entire country for people that desperately need it. We can also fund further research and studies in our institutes providing jobs in science & tech and medicine.

EDUCATION ; extra govt revenue could for example give much needed help so that our schools can provide students with basic things such as toilet paper (recent news). This only serves to highlight the torrid state of affairs.

HOUSING ; To say we have a massive housing crisis is an understatement. We have an over supply of accommodation we built when the banks incorporated their 'spend first and ask questions later' policy.
Currently the govt. cut budget allocation for housing and we have 10.000 homeless people right now & its growing rapidly.  That's ridiculous. We are ranked one of the richest countries(GDP/capita) to live in the world (7th/2017 IMF )

PLASTICS : Polluting everything in the sea. That's all the creatures of the sea and everything they eat right down to micro particles that are in your table SALT!. That means they are in the food chain and you know what that means.. Do you really want to be eating plastic?
Upcoming technologies like biodegradable containers are only in their infancy aswell as programs to try clean our oceans. We only have a few years to turn it around. Cannabis should help replace it.

GLOBAL WARMING ; Whether you are a believer or not it's happening. burning fuel = heat & pollution & emissions. It's in the atmosphere and that goes into what you eat. Cannabis farming would massively help balance the temperature aswell as cleaning the carbon from the air & keep our country green and healthy. It is a plant afterall 

CRIME ; God knows there are enough gangland related killings and violent crimes on our streets. Legalization would take away the cornerstone of gang finances and devolve power away from criminals. Less people are killed each year, less violent crimes and people being convicted for possession charges for personal possession don't have their lives ruined. Checkout Portugal. Drug abuse rates for opioids, alcohol etc. also drop.

You can legalize it, tax it, package it with information and place strict controls that would make it harder for teenagers and children to obtain as it can be detrimental to brain development if taken too early similar to alcohol. Also it's easier to monitor levels of compounds for quality and there are obviously no such controls in gangs. People get what they are given without knowing whats actually in it. 

As a country Ireland in recent years has changed its stance and diplomatically voted on things like same sex marriage, abortion rights and equality. Now there could be a chance to allow the public access a natural medicine that has been used for over 10,000 years brought to Europe originally by an Irishman. 

I haven't even gone on to the obvious medical benefits of such a move. I didn't want to jump straight in and bombard you with facts & figures about cannabis based medicine.
We all know about the recent cases in Ireland and other countries where patients have not been allowed to access cannabis based medicine.  The worlds' attitude is thankfully changing albeit all too slowly.

The medical benefits are numerous and wide reaching from CBD actively initiate cancer cell termination to inflammation, muscle spasms, seizures, immune system, psoriasis, promotes bone growth, good for your brain - Alzheimer's & other dementia, good for blood sugar levels, rich is healthy oils  etc. + lots more.  I could be here for hours on this.  Instead I have posted a few links to medical journal articles at the end. They highlight they need for further clinical research as many of the 20,000 studies on cannabis in the past have been aimed at proving negative affects. In today society it's healthy to be skeptical & ask questions so I implore you to do your own reading & research and come to your own conclusions about the positive results from cannabis based treatments - CBD/THC/Rick Simpson Oil/Hemp. Note the whole plant provides the best coverage.
