Nick Harrison, portrayed by Karl Burnett, was a core cast member from 1992 to 2005. In fact, his first appearance was in Shortland Street's second episode!

Karl Burnett recently wrote on his Facebook page that he would "happily go back - hint hint" and reprise his role as Nick.

With the recent return of Grace Kwan who turned out to be a bonkers, baby-stealing, husband-poaching, twin-forgetting sociopath, we feel that now is the perfect time to re-introduce Nick Harrison. And hey, if Claire Chitham is free, why not bring back Waverley too?
