As of 11/1/2020 Simi Valley police department put an encryption on their scanner rendering the public incapable of receiving vital information. As many Ventura County residents are aware VC Scanner on twitter tells live feed reports of what’s going on in the area to help public safety. They can no longer access Simi Valley channels due to this encryption and many Simi Valley residents are concerned they won’t be able to receive vital information for day to day safety in the city. This petition is to show how many residents want for this encryption to be repealed, thank you for reading.
