Last August, Amy Salisbury narrowly defeated me by 46 votes and has indicated she will be resigning before taking office.

During the August primary, I knocked over 3,000 doors to demonstrate my commitment to District 13 and 1,815 voters agreed. This is why I believe I am the strongest candidate to be appointed to this role because of my democratic mandate from constituents.

Voters showed up for me at the polls, but so did a dozen of community leaders from Michigan Democratic Party LGBT&A Caucus, Planned Parenthood Advocates, and AFSCME 25.

Representing my community would be the privilege of a lifetime. I know what voters want from their next County Commissioner, and I have the support from other leaders in our community accomplish our goals.

This is why I need your help. 

The board is now accepting applications to fill this role and they have the power to select one candidate from the many who apply. As I’ve made clear throughout my entire campaign, transparency is a choice and I believe the voters should have a voice in who becomes the next County Commissioner.
