Petition updateKeep Australia safe from gun violence18,000 signatures and support from our Prime Minister

Alannah & Madeline Foundation
May 3, 2016
Our petition is gaining momentum. Last week our Prime Minister, The Hon Malcolm Turnbull, addressed the nation at the 20th Anniversary Port Arthur memorial service; where he spoke his commitment to keeping gun law’s strong (view via 'ABC The Drum' link).
And people have responded, 18,000 Australians, including the Premier of Western Australia, the Hon Colin James Barnett, the Hon Julia Gillard former Prime Minister of Australia, Jeremy Jones AM, Caroline Jones AO, Ann Sherry AO, Melissa Doyle AM, Andrew Gaze AM, as well as Cricket Australia, and Richmond Football Club all pledged their support to keep Australia safe from gun violence.
This takes us another step closer to ensuring that each state and territory government recommits to the gun control measures outlined in the National Firearms Agreement 1996.
Please continue to share this petition with your community via social media and ask your local MP to pledge their support to Keep Australia Safe from Gun Violence.
Thank you for your support.
