Increase Safety at intersection in Paducah, Kentucky in memory of Alexandra Hailey
The Issue
On October 31, 2018, in the late afternoon, the world lost Alexandra (Zan) Delaine Hailey, 26, very suddenly in a tragic car accident while traveling for work in Paducah, Kentucky.
Zan was a poet, an artist, and an intellect. Lighting up every room she entered, her extreme selflessness towards others will always be remembered.
My name is Neil Hailey, Zan's brother. I started this petition with the intent to prevent another tragic accident at the intersection of McKendree Church Road and Highway 286 in Paducah (McCracken County), Kentucky. Zan's life was not the only one taken at this intersection. Just two months before, on August 2, 2018, a car accident, which occurred in an identical manner, took the lives of two Tennessee residents, Kevin Hudgins, 43, and his father, Sammy Hudgins, 64.
Many other accidents have been reported at this intersection as well. Please consider signing this petition to get a stoplight installed at this intersection in Kentucky and help contribute towards preventing another tragic incident.
They say catastrophes often happen in three's. Let's make sure that the third death in three months is the last.
