SIGN THE PETITION to call for the IMMEDIATE removal/firing of Pilot Point Police Chief, Rex Marks. Marks, who has a 90% fall out rate (mass Exodus of sworn officers) with what is left of the current department and has destroyed morale, credibility, and the integrity of the Pilot Point Police Department. The safety of PP is at a critical crossroads. Our good officers are quitting and WHO will replace them? He has fired an honorable officer who challenged him after voicing concerns from morale to running out of ammunition. Chief Marks hubris in the face of scrutiny is TELLING as he shows zero concern or emotion. The numbers DON’T LIE. Over 95% disapproval rate from HIS OWN DEPARTMENT but there has been no internal support of action because he is protected by the City Manager who has to date, been impotent in mobilizing any change. The City of Pilot Point needs citizens to take immediate action before we lose any more good officers! It’s not just the recruitment and retention challenges that will be faced but these officers have FAMILIES of their own that are suffering the blow back from the tyrannical actions of one Chief who has a history of failed positions in other states.
