Trying to raise awareness on the importance and the need for recreational programs for people (of all ages) with special needs in the McAllen-Edinburg Area. Recreational programs such as athletic programs (basketball, baseball, soccer, track and field), art therapy (dancing,drawing, painting, and ceramics), and animal assistance programs. Animal assistance programs incorporate animals in the therapy process for the treatment for medical conditions and impairments. For example, equine therapy is beneficial for people with Autism, Cerebral Palsy , impaired balance responses and coordination and sensory motor function ect..Recreational activities builds healthy sportsmanship, friendships and most importantly confidence.
