Sia directed a movie called "Music" that is set to be released in 2021, and has made major monitary contributions to the hate group "Autism Speaks." In short, "Music" is a movie about the sterotypical romanticised non-verbal autistic prodigy, a trope that contributes to the misunderstanding of autistic people. Instead of choosing to use her platform for good, she had chosen to contribute to the misinformation that is put out about autism, and is contributing to the sterotype that autistic people are only valuable if they are savants. Furthermore, the autistic character is played by a non-autistic actress, and Sia only drew on the hate group Autism Speaks' description of autism to understand the autistic viewpoint. She is refusing to accept criticism for this movie and has refused to apologize.
