The Issue

For those of you who know what Stagecoach bus is, it’s a public transportation company operating in many different areas/regions of the United Kingdom. The particular area/region of Stagecoach I wish to mention is Kent and South East. (Stagecoach South East) former East Kent Road Car Company.

Unfortunately Stagecoach is an appalling company:

reasons include:

incompetence, and driver attitude and poor communication and customer services.

Yes, my concerns are Exactly the same as what I posted on my Facebook profile. I will add the link to my Facebook posts underneath, yes what I have written is why I have experienced.
here is the link to my Facebook post which takes you to my Facebook profile where I have posted the same content too so you can view and judge for yourselves. But believe me it’s and awful company full of incompetence and stupidity and mad, reckless behaviour and mismanagement.

In many areas Stagecoach are treating their buses and transportation like rubbish, constant dangerous driving, I have been on many of their buses where, particularly in Kent (an area of the South East United Kingdom they operate in) buses are being driven into the ground by people who are not trained to any standards, buses often are driven so recklessly that myself was injured in early 2024 on a route between Deal and Canterbury. To this day I have not been compensated. Every day the buses are driven so badly that buses become very largely damaged, people are hurt. Often buses are maintained to a very and substandard extent where buses are failing, breaking down and not being able to do full routes.

My other concerns are that there are not enough buses, leaving large numbers stranded looking for other sources of reliable transportation. Overall their timetables are useless and largely outdated both online and in physical hard copies.

if you would like to view more of my concerns in much more detail please view my Facebook profile at Joseph Telfer (facebook profile is the same image profile I have used for change.org to make it easier to link to facebook) images uploaded with the rest of my other images revealing the truth of Stagecoach Bus South East and how it is deliberately managed poorly and treated like refuge by the people that chose to operate it such as the drivers or staff.

Here are some of my everyday day experiences with Stagecoach buses in the South East and Kent.

1) 31st  October and 1st November 2025

Unfortunately still dangerous drivers, crashing into cars, other buses, driving up sidewalks and pavements, speeding and lunatics who talk nonsensical gibberish the moment to make a concern about how dangerous their driving is. They are getting worse by the second. Went on a bus on October 31st 2025 at around just after 4:50pm in Broadstairs heading home towards Cliftonville Margate. Got on it the driver was speaking in a rude and harsh manner
"Just get on get on, machines broken get on get on" They said. Drove off at top speed a clipped pavements, ignored two ladies wanting to get on and waiting at a bus stop before stomping the brakes down and letting someone off halfway down the street. Clipping more pavements, and driving over roundabouts in the end I got off and left halfway through my journey and walked the entirety of the rest of my journey. It's far safer to walk or get a taxi.If you can is recommend you ignore the Stagecoach bus and walk away from it. Do not board them.As usual a lot of their drivers still talk nonsensical gibberish and a load of twatwaffle the moment you suggest how awful they are or even if you just get on they do this. Very rarely they don't talk a load of rubbish. Also if you decide want to travel with them (I don't know why you'd want to anyway) their timetables are always a mess their online apps and website don't really work particularly well often outdated and poorly designed and run. Near enough all of them can't tell their arse from their elbows. And are about as much use a chocolate fire guard or a solar powered torch. Do not trust at all do not recommend would give minus if I could but unfortunately on most pages you can only give 1 you cant do zero or minus. Anyways I'm still awaiting compensation for my damages to a laptop and phone and injuries from early 2024. Awful company just awful terrible. Avoid at all costs.Stagecoach is nothing more than a bunch of giggling imbeciles and and cretinous liars and a shambles too. Escaped zoo animals can drive bus buses an run a better company than you. Disgraceful, should be ashamed of yourselves. Sater to walk or taxi. Just don't go near them at all.I went on a bus early this year too and the driver was waving his arms like a madman just escaped from Broadmoor, swearing, up peoples arses and swerving the bus too. Happens near enough every day with Stagecoach.

2) 15th October 2025

I will even upload the evidence to support all of this this and how they also didn't care when I told another driver in to wire fleet about it. I will also upload in this post the damages in picture evidence. Once you have seen this post you cannot deny it. If anyone decides to say nothing is wrong with this then clearly you need to view it properly as I will upload clear as day evidence and recordings of this. I explained to another driver that the bus was damaged and they responded with

"there's a load of them like that" this suggests to me that they definitely do not care for any safety at all for passengers or anything.

Stagecoach bus UK. The Thanet Loop Bus, Kent, from Broadstairs to Cliftonvilleand Westwood. The tje missed my stop.

They damaged the bus after driving it into a roundabout twicemounted the Margate hospital pavement too. I am annoyed and walked over 6 minutes back to my stop they missed. I spoke to the driver and kept pressing the bell. The driver mumbled really quietly and spoke a load of nonsensical and unnecessary, not understandable gibberish. Who employs these awful and incompetent and dangerous drivers for public transport in the United Kingdom?! Stagecoach Bus UK Don't travel with Stagecoach at all. Please do not unless you want to be killed in accident caused by Stagecoach.

Absolute joke public transport is in the South East. Seems to be run by children who don't care and understand.

My posts were also recorded using my mobile phone which I paid for entirely using almost all of my savings I had made before in full after Stagecoach had damaged my previous phone and my previous laptop due to HIGHLY DANGEROUS and I mean HIGHLY DANGEROUS driving etiquette in 2024 when I was living in Deal, Kent.

The reason the last recording is from my mobile phone Home Screen on the video via my Facebook page was because I had already recorded this without the video camera tool so I had to record the audio from the screen recorder, this is why I had recorded and sent to my mother, Miss Alison Richardson at the time but yes this is me talking in the recording, the noises and squealing it made was the bus being driven onto the pavement when leaving the Margate hospital. But yes this is Stagecoach Bus UKOnce again STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN!!I can't wait to be sue Stagecoach bus Uk for my previous personal injuries and damages to personal items from2024. I also can't wait to shut up down permanently altogether. I am taking you the Minsitey of Public Transport UK as well to explain the full story and situation as Stagecoach operate in many areas of the Uk and not just Kent. And all over the country people are saying what I'm saying about dangerous driving, not good, broken and damaged death traps of buses you run, and also drivers high on drugs whilst driving and also crashing your buses into other vehicles and buildings due to how bad your drivers are.STAY CLEAR!! Stagecoach is Awful. I honestly swear to god that you as a public transport company serving the UK should be shut down for good and I'm not the only person saying this.

3) 18th December 2025
Morning hours. Approximately between 08:45 and 09:00. The first bus I got was a Thanet Loop Bus in the direction of Broadstairs and Cliftonville. The driver went only one stop after I got on and said “oh there a problem with the bus get the one behind” So got fed up and said to the driver that “you don’t look after buses you drive like maniacs and you treat things like a pile of dog poo.” I think they ignored me anyway they didn’t appear to care and just mumbled quietly “oh erm sorry” to be honest, I’ve had the same driver before and just like near enough 99% of the drivers too was terrible anyway. He also kept bumping the bus about clipping pavements too and speeding in some cases. Went to get the bus behind and another one of their terrible drivers. The driver of the one behind was also the same bad one I had on a previous occasion recently where they ignored people at bus stops multiple times leaving them stranded in the dark. On that same journey that day they were speeding then just stopping halfway down the street randomly to let propel on and off far from any bus stops or main area.
needless to say I never chose to get that bus behind the broken one due to this. Should’ve have done something about them ages ago but no they continue to do this. On the 18th December I then waited up to about ten minutes for the next bus and then the bus was definitely broken just as much as what the other buses they have here. It had the same brake squeal and partial brake failures just like the other buses they have and also was very cold inside, like other buses too it rattle and wobbled and had some various damages on that it that were clearly not fixed or fixed but with substandard maintenance materials. I think there was heating on but the fan for it was far too loud and didn’t do much good apart from really loud noise all the time.  Also the driver kept braking too harshly sometimes bouncing  the bus a little, mostly because of not good brakes mainly, again as I mentioned they treat buses and all services really badly. Same issue with Stagecoach customer services as well they don’t give you really good or satisfactory results or responses and all round just not bothered or done correctly with care too.

As for public transport I think they do need to be closed down, it’s nothing but a travesty of, shambles and dangerous behaviours exhibited by a load of clowns and all round not nice people. The only reason this continues is because they only care about money for themselves, both greedy and insolent.
something needs to be done as this cannot continue the way it is currently. I need to be compensated for past injuries and damaged items from last year in early 2024. Awful awful, just terrible company and I hope I can achieve my goal and that this company is to be closed down with immediate affect or as soon possible really.

I am still very unsatisfied with Stagecoach Bus South East. On the 30th April 2026 I had an unpleasant experience in regards to dangerous driving from a Thanet Loop Service from Margate Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital at around 09:45 onwards. I had gotten off at East Kent College stop at around half past 9 in the morning. My time at East Kent College Broadstairs is due to start at 09:00 am and I was disappointed due to the fact the bus services produced were either late or displayed not quite the right destination and it information required therefore getting into Broadstairs far later than my expected arrival time was disappointing as this affects my college attendance at East Kent College Broadstairs. This is an everyday occurrence that is still ongoing. Unfortunately due to the dangerous driving of this service I had attempted to make contact with Stagecoach Via telephone and found it unhelpful for my concern. At around 10:10 am I left Broadstairs to travel to Stagecoach Customer service office at Canterbury. The Loop Service  at the time in the direction of Broadstairs Cliftonville was mostly acceptable considering the driver was reasonable and often helped those needed. On the other hand this the only decency and professionalism I have witnessed travelling with Stagecoach in the South East. Upon departing the Loop Service at Cecil Square, Margate I changed here for the number 8A service into Canterbury on one occasion during the 8A service towards Westgate railway station there was a bus stop that was one before Westgate Railway Station at Roxburgh Road and as the service had turned the corner the driver had driven past this stop despite the “bus stopping” was already illuminated and the bell had been pressed before the stop to request the stop. The driver continued for a few yards perhaps before stoping to let those off who had requested the stop then continued. Upon arrival in Canterbury at aprons 12:10 - 12:15 I had departed the 8A service and left for the Customer Service office and asked about both previous and ongoing issues that I have made complaints about including previous injuries I had back in early 2024 however unresolved and the exact date and time unknown due to the length of time unresolved. I had asked clearly and was given a paper copy for the injuries and insurance policy from the customer service office, once again due to the lack of effort to resolve the injuries and damages the specific date and time now unknown so found quite unhelpful particularly as I had made a long travel journey consisting of up to 90 minutes at the most and due to because of when raising this issue long before I was given the exact same response expect only in email/electronic form, apart from this the response was almost practically the same At around 12:45 onwards I boarded the 8 service from Canterbury and deposit Margate Cecil Square later at around 14:00pm. I boarded the Thanet Loop Bus service back into Broadstairs to which the bus was travelling at speed and often bumped into the pavement damaging the bus and making myself and mostly everyone onboard uncomfortable. On this journey I was forced forwards on multiple occasions until my stop at East Kent College once again. At around 15:30pm I boarded another Thanet Loop Bus back towards Margate and Westwood Cross, leaving the journey at Margate Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital. This Thanet Loop Service was also driven at speed and again rather unpleasantly causing myself to be forced forwards often. Upon arriving the stop The Wheatsheaf there was a small roundabout in which the bus driver had driven over a large portion of mounting it and causing what could be somewhat extensive damages to the bus, and making everyone onboard and myself uncomfortable. Although recently injuries not as severe as ones previously to the head, shoulders, face and arms from early 2024 alongside with damages to a laptop, mobile phone, a pair of sunglasses and one laptop carry bag this was still enough to dissatisfy myself given the fact that this is an ongoing issue throughout Stagecoach South East. As apart of dangerous driving situations buses are always in substandard conditions often arriving scratched, dented, rusted and often with electrical and mechanical faults often not fixed and left to worsen, other occasions buses will be dirty inside, litter and rotten food left and uncared for by the bus company as often the same existing buses will enter service the following day expect with more litter inside, on particular older vehicles that are still in service they are often water/ flood damaged, heavily rusted, also unclean and generally unfit for service and all round not given maintenance. On newer buses which are operated this is very much the same if so not much better as in some newer models I have traveled on, they are often again scratched, dented and inside unclean. The damages and to the exterior of all of the vehicles used is generally due to dangerous driving and little of this is actually a genuine case of just overall “wear and tear” because of in particular the way the damages are and how it appears which do not show signs of overall “wear and tear” but damages due to being driven awfully. On a journey I had to make this year on one of the Thanet Loop services this was one of their newer buses at Stagecoach South East, yet it made awful brake failing noises the passenger doors not open fully and only part opened on the left, resulting in difficulty travelling with larger items, buggies/pushchairs and wheelchairs. Inside it was scratched badly in places specifically the driver cab door. On another bus which was one of the number 8 services from Canterbury to Westwood Cross and Northdown Park, it was a fairly new bus and it had black masking tape over the emergency door at the back on the bottom deck and it was scratched both on the interior and exterior, the exterior was also dented, scratched and had plenty of what looked like swirl marks, presumably from an exterior cleaning or repair job that had not been done either properly or not completed and left part way through before the finishing process.

As a separate yet still ongoing issue that does not relate to the 30th April 2026, I have still concerns in regards to customer services, timetable, and service availability issues that have resulted in a daily occurrence of bringing my education attendance down despite often attempting earlier services as often it will appear to be not in service, late or sometimes completely disappearing from the online Stagecoach App and live bus tracking leaving many stranded or waiting for either the next service or another service temporarily. At one particular point this year in 2026 I had logged onto the Stagecoach Bus app and had begun searching for live bus times and tracking, the app appeared to show the Thanet Loop Service and another service still under under Stagecoach however in a different county operated by Stagecoach as this was listed as Stagecoach towards Ecton Brock I believe it was if that is correct. Both buses on the map were shown briefly and highlighted on the world map on a small island on the western coast of Africa and then disappeared before returning back to Stagecoach in the South East (Kent) which is the original areas of location with no bus services shown app then almost immediately showed Thanet Loop service highlighted in China the City/providence of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Island along the expressway at Victoria Harbour then disappeared again reverting back to Kent and the South East once more which was rather odd given the fact that it did not show any services after this point and I could not find a service to board that day yet at the same it was very mildly amusing after to view on the map outside of the Operators section of service coverage exploring the world so it was. On another separate occasion on Monday the 20th April upon searching for a bus service via the Stagecoach app and finding the individual starting point of my journey the app claimed that Margate Marine Terrace and Margate Cecil Square did not exist or was not recognised many attire while waiting for the number 8 bus to get into Cecil Square From Marine Terrace where at Cecil Square I would change for the Thanet Loop Service the second half of my journey where I got off at Pilgrims Hospice Stop, Margate. Despite this I had waited at Margate Marine Terrace and found an alternative solution via google/apple/mobile phone maps which displayed all of Stagecoach live tracking times via stagecoach, the bus arrived more then twenty minutes late.

Overall Stagecoach is a very poorly run transportation company with poorly trained drivers, staff and maintenance and perhaps should be under investigation as I have attempted to reach out to a member of my local MP (Member of Parliament) Miss Poly Billington for Thanet which is my current place of residence, Margate. Miss Polly Billington had recently suggested that Stagecoach South East is to investigate however on the other hand have not witnessed and heard back in response to the last email I made to herself on the 5th January 2026 using my my more professional email via iCloud under:

jandrewtelfer@icloud.com

I had originally used a google email adress to make my complaints to Stagecoach as originally this was my main and more professional email before switching to iCloud and so have kept the same so as not avoid confusion or misunderstanding/miscommunication.

Once again Stagecoach South East is a very poorly run transportation company with poorly trained drivers, staff and maintenance.
