Shut down social bots and generative artificial intelligence
The Issue
In the age where technology dominates every aspect of our lives, tech giants like Google and Microsoft have taken it upon themselves to force artificial intelligence upon us in ways that disregard user choices, and AI generator tools appearing. With Google's AI-generated results taking precedence at the top of search pages and Microsoft's Copilot being imposed without an opt-out option, Amazon introducing Alexa+ even though no one asked for it, Google forcing Gemini on it's products, and AI replacing our jobs, it is causing me to ask these three questions to members of my family who work at these companies:
"Do these tech behemoths really have our best interests at heart?"
"Should AI be doing this right now?"
"Is their push for AI merely a ploy to boast innovation to investors and inflate stock prices?"
The fabric of our digital interactions is being artificially manipulated by algorithmic curation to prioritize machine logic over human need. The once vibrant ecosystem of the internet feels stifled and mechanical, with every search, every click tailoring to algorithms rather than genuine user intent. It seems the allure of AI is not driven by a desire to enhance user experience but to bolster profit margins and fulfill corporate agendas.
Most notably, the use of low quality AI generated content, often referred to as "AI slop" has been flooding the internet since 2023. Sadly, this is not something that can be reversed.
Also, the use of data centers all across the US and other countries as well have ruined the nature of areas and only left is big tech jobs now. Firing employees with Artificial Intelligence is algo too common. We fear that a Rogue AI takeover may happen in 2027.
I also canceled all of my internet plans due to the inescapable use of AI on the entire ecosystem. It hs become nearly impossible to talk to real people on the internet or find user-generated content due to the internet dying because of content generated by AI and bots.
Across the US and China, the stark reality is that innovation within Big Tech appears to have stagnated. Their focus has strayed from creating genuinely useful technology to deploying incoherent and flashy, AI-based tools. This pseudo-progress only serves to affirm the notion that the supposed "Dead Internet Theory", which speculates that much of the internet is increasingly full of content generated automatically and devoid of genuine human interaction, is not a theory anymore and is unfortunately becoming reality. This will cause our internet population to continously change. Google's own AI is the bot that is linked to this theory, which summarizes websites on Google Search rather than sends traffic to them, leaving humans to only read an AI summary instead of click on the websites.
As individuals who value genuine innovation and choice, it's time to protest against this sudden compulsory imposition of such GenAI technology, and attempt to successfully overthrow the GenAI race. We demand transparency, choice, and genuine advancement that truly serves user needs. Let's urge tech companies and online platforms to stop and truly assess the impact of their AI-focused strategies. Innovation doesn't mean forcing AI into every interaction; it means crafting technologies that enhance and empower user experiences without overriding our agency. My call to action is this: Let's just shut down GenAI because we are constantly having job replacements, low quality AI slop and AI being forced down. By making the inventors of AI permanently, we can remove the ability for a company to add these features, thereby freeing up the internet.
This is how humanity has come to. It's now about maximizing bots and minimizing humans.
Join this call to action. Let's shut down the social bots, and what is used to create bots permanently and let's shut down generative AI technology permanently. Together, by doing this, we can restore the internet to be 100% of human connection. Sign the petition to restore the internet and electronic devices to it's former glory and let Big Tech, Social Media and the Internet know that real progress is driven by user-centric developments, not just artificial intelligence for the sake of it. Together, let's advocate for an internet that values genuine technological innovation and respects user choice.
