Shut down REVEL NIGHT CLUB in Albert Road Melbourne
Shut down REVEL NIGHT CLUB in Albert Road Melbourne
The issue
We, the residents of Albert Road, Melbourne, urgently request the closure of Revel Nightclub located at 52 Albert Road, Melbourne. The relentless noise, disturbances, and public intoxication caused by the nightclub's patrons, especially between 3:30 a.m to 5 a.m., severely disrupt our lives and jeopardize our safety.
In addition to the noise disturbances, patrons often loiter out the front of the club, engaging in fights without the intervention of security. These altercations escalate the already intolerable situation, creating an unsafe environment for residents and passersby alike.
Furthermore, we are deeply concerned about the impending opening of the pavement park scheduled for 2024, directly outside the nightclub. We fear that if the nightclub continues to operate, it will undermine the safety and integrity of this upcoming social area. The presence of a noisy nightclub would likely discourage families and residents from enjoying the park, as it could attract patrons to linger outside, disrupting the peace and tranquility of the space.
Despite repeated complaints and failed promises of improvement from the nightclub management, the situation persists. We demand immediate action to restore peace and security to our community.
We call for a thorough investigation into the nightclub's compliance with noise ordinances and liquor licensing regulations, with penalties for any violations, including license revocation. Additionally, we urge authorities to address the lack of security intervention during altercations outside the establishment.
Please prioritize our well-being and the success of our community spaces over the profits of this establishment. It is imperative that Revel Nightclub be shut down before the opening of the pavement park in 2024.
