The Issue

We, the residents of the South Fort Worth community near 5617 McCart Ave, are calling on the City of Fort Worth, including the City Council, Zoning and Code Enforcement, and Fort Worth Police Department, to take immediate action regarding Club Motion — an after-hours BYOB establishment operating from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM by Brendan Quigley.

Since opening, this venue has become a serious threat to the safety, peace, and livability of our neighborhood. Week after week, this club has brought:

• Gun violence to our streets (including a confirmed shooting reported by Fox 4 News https://www.fox4news.com/news/man-shot-after-fight-fort-worth-gas-station-police.amp
• Ongoing altercations that spill into residential areas — with bullet casings found near homes.
• Loud music, shouting, and outbursts throughout the night.
• Public intoxication and dangerous driving from unregulated alcohol use.
• Littering, loitering, and vandalism.
• Constant police presence, draining resources and raising fear among families.

Most concerning of all, this establishment is located less than 100 feet from residential homes. We live here. We work early. We raise families. And we deserve to feel safe and sleep peacefully in our own homes.

This club's BYOB model creates zero oversight on how much alcohol patrons consume, encouraging unsafe and violent behavior. Residents now routinely find trash, bottles, and sometimes even spent bullet shells in their yards and driveways. The club has turned our peaceful neighborhood into a high-risk zone.

We demand the City of Fort Worth:

  1. Investigate the legality of this club’s operations, permits, and zoning.
  2. Enforce stricter regulations or revoke its business license if violations exist.
  3. Require trained security or police presence during all operating hours.
  4. Limit or adjust operating hours to match public safety standards.
  5. Address the parking overflow, loitering, and public intoxication impacting our streets.
We are not asking for much — just to feel safe in our homes again.

Please sign this petition to help protect our neighborhood before this turns into a tragedy.
One bullet in the wrong direction could cost someone their life. Let’s not wait for that to happen.

Sincerely,
A concerned resident of the neighborhood directly across from Club Motion.
