Shut down Inside the Magic

Shut down Inside the Magic
The Issue
As you already know, Inside the Magic has long been one of many news sources that reports on all things entertainment. One of those many branches that they report on is The Walt Disney Company. It is where people come to get any news on what is happening regarding theme parks and other areas in the entertainment industry.
Unfortunately, in recent times, Inside the Magic has become one of many entertainment news sources that has been spreading lies and one-sided stories that are filled to the brim with false information to the general public when news stories need to be three-dimensional and tell the whole true story. One of the biggest pitfalls due to all this is misinformation.
For example: There are many articles out there that either go out of their way to not include particular details like ride refurbishment dates and just want viewers to believe that an attraction is closing down for good through a headline just to grab the readers’ attention, get clicks, drive traffic to their sites and make money.
Another example is them glorifying specific movies while defaming others that they don’t agree with, such as glorifying The Princess and the Frog and defaming Song of the South. Song of the South is not racist in any way, whereas The Princess and the Frog glorifies both racism and antisemitism. How does The Princess and the Frog practice both racism and antisemitism? The Princess and the Frog is a 2009 adaptation of the Grimm Brothers fairytale The Frog Prince—a story whose characters are white while the characters in The Princess and the Frog are black. Is this not Blackface, Blackwashing or Cultural Appropriation? Song of the South is a movie that Walt not only wanted to make but included members of the African American community during a time of hardships for that community. How is that racist? The setting also takes place during the Reconstruction era, long after the conclusion of the Civil War and the abolition of slavery.
Unfortunately, constant misinformation and one-sided news articles have been huge contributors towards The Walt Disney Company going downhill. For these reasons and more, we are calling for an end to Inside the Magic.
