After sharing my story online in a local Facebook group, I have found that almost everybody in Oregon, Illinois has been scammed by Tony Kurzac of Illinois Auto Repair & Tire off of Washington St. Customers and ex-employees report he has stolen parts from customers' cars just to sell them to other customers', does not complete the services he says he does, claims he is not responsible for the faulty parts he buys, and even gets parts from the junkyard and paints them to make them look new.

My personal experience: In June I came to Illinois Auto Repair & Tire off Washington, and paid $950 for them to inspect my car for my cross country road trip & fix any issues that would hinder my trip back, I needed my AC recharged, and they also said they needed to fix the front suspension and passenger side wheel bearing. I just found out that they jacked it up by the control arms which are now bent substantially (and can/will snap), I know the damage was not already there as I had an inspection at a local shop before my trip (I have proof of this). Not only did they not provide the services they said they did (AC still did not work) but they let me drive 1,500 miles in a car with bent control arms, which is incredibly dangerous. 

He has scammed too many people out of money for services he does not complete, ruins peoples' cars, and puts them in danger. We need to shut down Illinois Auto Repair & Tire for the sake of everybody who lives in Ogle County. This company is taking our hard earned money and putting customers' lives at risk.
