We, the fellow animal lovers and concerned citizens of  Vermont, regarding Williamstown, VT, are heartbroken and appalled by the ongoing neglect and abuse of dogs, cats, and livestock at Heidi's Haven Dog Rescue. It pains me personally because of my deep love for animals. Each day passes and the suffering continues. Local and state officials have remained silent on this issue, leaving animals without defense or rescue. Many dogs have escaped and show malnutrition and signs of neglect .the livestock is underweight and neglected and local community is well aware of the continuing abuse of these animals and returns the animals and has done nothing to stop this inhumane situation. More and more dogs are being brought into the rescue. Please help us to shut Heidis Haven down !

Evidence detailed by numerous concerned citizens and animal welfare organizations has increasingly pointed to gross negligence at the facility. Animals are reportedly starved, neglected, and abused with no relief in sight. The Humane Society of the United States estimates that each year, nearly 1 million animals are abused or killed in connection with neglect (National Geographic, 2019). Considering the serious harm inflicted on these innocent creatures, it is clear that Heidi’s Haven is contributing to these horrifying statistics instead of working against them.

We urge the local and state authorities to intervene and shut down Heidi's Haven Dog Rescue immediately pending a thorough investigation and possibly pressing charges for animal cruelty. We cannot sit idle while the beings we love are subjected to such horrid conditions. The animals at Heidi's Haven are deserving of a life filled with compassion and care, and it starts with you signing this petition to elevate their voices.
