Shut Down Digital Pioneers Academy for Detrimental Impact on Students' Education

The Issue

I am a firsthand witness of the devastating impacts of the educational practice at Digital Pioneers Academy. Having been a student there from 6th to 9th grade, I experienced the harm done to a student's future by the school's ineffectual system. Upon transferring schools, I found that my former school had blocked both me and my mother, refusing to send out my transcripts, which resulted in setbacks, causing me to retake classes I should have completed at the start of my high school journey.

Statistics show that students at Digital Pioneers Academy average a significantly lower GPA, with a median grade point average of merely 2.2. This indicates a considerable lack of opportunities and essential resources necessary for a student's academic progress and overall performance. Moreover, the practice of failing to deliver transcripts when students transfer points to a system designed not to elevate students, but to take leave of their needs once they've exited their premises.

It is essential to shutter the doors of Digital Pioneers Academy for its detrimental practices that hurt not only students' education but also their potential to succeed in life. Let us aim for a future where every institution grants every student the opportunity to thrive and excel. Hence, we call on the Department of Education in Washington, D.C., and every citizen concerned about the wellbeing and future of our children to demand the shutdown of this institution.

Please, lend your support and sign our petition. Together, we can create a significant change for the betterment of education in our city.
