Meeting with Hon'ble Defense Minister Sh Rajnath Singh ji regarding issues related to CAPF & SSCGD

A three member delegation under the banner of Confederation of Ex Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association met Hon'ble Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh ji with their legitimate demands of CAPF & appointment of SSCGD aspirants.
General Secretary Shri Ranbir Singh said that the following issues were discussed with Hon'ble Defense Minister. Central Security Forces CPC canteen has come to market price due to GST. If government is not giving GST exemption on CPC canteen, on the same lines of CSD canteen or else CSD canteen should be authorized for security forces also so that domestic items can be cheaper than the market price.
The Paramiltary Forces Flag Day 'Fund' on the same line of Armed forces flag day should be established so that the donation amount may be used for the benefits of pension, rehabilitation and welfare schemes of widows, serving and retired soldiers can be availed.
Jayendra Rana said that during the recent budget session, the Honorable Finance Minister announced to opening the100 new Sainik Schools for Army jawans, but no announcement was made to open a paramilitary school in the name of Sardar Patel for the paramilitary forces which are guarding our long borders.
CGHS dispensaries should be expanded for better health facilities. A survey should be conducted by the Central Government to expand the dispensaries in the states where a large number of paramilitary families residing.
A demand was made to set up paramilitary welfare boards in the states for the settlement of issues related to welfare, pension, rehabilitation and other welfare of widows, martyr families and retired paramilitary. The Ministry of Home Affairs order dated 23 November 2012 should be implemented in which all states were issued to give ex-man status to paramilitary personnel on the lines of army.
A serious issue was taken up by Shri V.S. Kadam which is related to the security system of the country and the future of SSC GD youth has attracted the attention of the Defense Minister. Minister of State for Home Shri Nityanand Rai ji has intimated the Parliament that there are vacancies of 1 lakh 11,000 in CAPF . When the Honorable Minister had said that 1 lakh 11 thousand posts of constables are lying vacant in the central paramilitary forces, then appointment letters should be issued to the remaining 55 thousand medically fit youths also. On behalf of the appeal, he also requested the Hon'ble Defense Minister to issue a waiting list so that the youth can serve in the security of the borders and nation building.
During the meeting, the Hon'ble Defense Minister appreciated the impartial role played by the Central Para Military Forces personnel in the recently concluded assembly elections and said that the countrymen are proud of distributing free medicines, food items to the general public during the Corona period by CAPF. Honourable Defense minister assured the delegation that the government would seriously consider the above welfare issues and take appropriate decisions. Shri Ranbir Singh requested the Defense Minister that a delegation meeting should be arranged with the Hon'ble Prime Minister to discuss and resolve the welfare related issues of security forces.
