As a concerned member of the Pelham, NH community, I've observed that our girls' softball team is not fully developing their skills. The practices are daily and repetitive, leading to an alarming increase in injuries among our young athletes this year. This situation is not only detrimental to their physical health but also hampers their growth as players.  


The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) reports that repetitive training without adequate rest can lead to overuse injuries, which seem prevalent in our team currently. By adopting safer training methods, we could reduce these injury rates significantly.  Clinics focusing on mechanics should be worked into the schedule.
