Thank you to all of you who have supported our petition with your signature!  We asking for your help once again.

We have been persistent in asking the town to make safety adjustments to the Firearm Discharge Map for over a year now.  We have presented many valid arguments for the changes, including violations by the town of their own town codes and Governor Hochul’s Legislation S51001 on firearm safety. Our repeated requests have fallen on deaf ears.  

On February 5, 2025 at their Legislative session starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Penfield Town Hall, the town will be holding a public hearing on the Firearm Discharge Map.  If you would like the changes that we have presented to become a reality it is critical that you show your support by attending the hearing and making your voice heard!  If you are unable to personally attend, please email the Penfield Town Clerk, Amy Steklof at steklof@penfield.org and ask that your statement be read at the meeting.  

If we do not get enough support for our cause at the meeting it will in all likelihood be eliminated from any further discussions.
