If you submitted to the Shoot and Share contest, you NEED to read this.

If you are part of Shoot and Share, you need to know what you’re supporting. First, a number of women who were harassed by a team member at their company posted about their issues and they got silenced. These women were all affected directly yet their thoughts were removed and their employee was defended. They wrote a letter about it here:

Part of this letter is untrue because this person still works for Shoot and Share and still gets paid. He was not put on administrative leave and he was not fired. He’s still an employee and works for them.

Then today, the owner David Jay posted a video with him discussing a black lives matter post. People of color started posting about how offensive this was and all of the black people (and any other person) that disagreed or had an issue with the post got their post deleted and then got blocked from the group. THEY ARE SILENCING BLACK PEOPLES VOICES WHEN IT MATTERS THE MOST.

So if you uploaded any photos to the contest, you gave them rights to use your photos anywhere and wherever they choose. Your email will be used by their company to advertise to all of their other companies. So not only will they use your photos to make money, your name on them and affiliations with Shoot and Share means you will be supporting their views.
