Racial slurs, and racially motivated actions have been a repeat issue at Shippensburg University. As a black student myself on campus, the uncertainty of being discriminated against is a constant worry of mine. Shippensburg University should implement institutional change, that requires incoming freshmen to take courses specifically targeting racial education. As a way to educate those on the history of the African American cultural, the history and progression of racial oppression in America, recognizing hidden forms of racism, and including but not limited to racial ethics.
