Shellharbour Local Council at the moment does not have a dog friendly beach in our municipality. Our aim is to encourage our local council to listen to their community and consider the option of opening the South side of the marina break walk through to the coal loader to be an off leash dog friendly area. 
After being informed by local regulatory officers that any yellow sand area in the local Shellharbour Cohncil area is prohibited, us like many other dog owners in area feel as though this portion of sand is quite suitable and we would like you to consider this.
