Shein is using Islamic religious prayer mats and selling them as casual carpets and 'fring trim carpets'. Shein has been known for taking advantage of many cultures in their sales without addressing issues of appropriation. Not only do they sell these utterly disrespectful items, they sell items of traditional clothing with less than modest reforms to their style - highly disrespectful to the culture that has endured mockery from the west for much of history. 

In addition to this, Shein further burdens their ethos by limiting their diversity and ensuring that majority white females are modelling these pieces of clothing, and that religious items are entirely re-branded. This is no longer appreciation, it is bold faced ignorance. 

The company is hardly transparent in its makeup, relying on much of its digital behaviour and online status rather than providing easy contact with its customers, ensuring complaints can go unheard.

This is an act of clear religious disrespect and injustice for millions, and should obviously be discontinued. Their service is poor, they fail to address ANY of their instances of appropriation, and furthermore they now desecrate religion. BOYCOTT SHEIN OFFICIAL, SHEIN US AND SHEIN UK.
