Ablikim Yusuf is a Uyghur Muslim man who could face deportation from Qatar to China within the next 24 hours. Mr Yusuf is being held at Doha airport in Qatar. In Washington, activists gathered outside the Qatari embassy into the early hours of Saturday morning. 

A video was posted on Facebook by the man from Doha airport. "I am currently being held at Doha airport ... They are preparing for me to leave. I need the world's help. I am originally from Hotan," he said, referring to an area in China's western Xinjiang province, which is home to most of the country's Uighur minority.

The video has now been publicly broadcasted on social media by activists who have informed the man could face potential imprisonment, torture and death upon his return. We call upon Qatar to save the life of Ablikim Yusuf.
