My daughter of three was murdered in 2021 at the tender age of 28. She was my second born. She leaves two children ages 9 and 11 (current age).

She was in a very abusive relationship where she was tormented daily under gun point by a cowardly boy and no one knew. She was severely frightened for her and her kids/family life.

May 9, 2021, on Mothers Day, I received a call that would change my life forever! My daughter was killed! Shot twice! Once in the groin area and a fatal shot to her head. She was found in a fetal position arms hovering her head. This to believe she knew this was to be her demise and only knew what to do in a violent situation but to embrace the inevitable.

This cause is to bring awareness to stop domestic gun violence! Men who uses abuse to control women. And kill them because they refuse to live in turmoil another day by the hands of evil and not of love.

I want all women to know this is not a way of life! They don't have to do this alone. They have a right to leave and live! They are not punching bags! Love is not defined with abuse! Not mentally, not physically, not emotionally, not spiritually, not verbally, NOT EVER! YOUR LIFE MATTER! YOU MATTER! YOU ARE WANTED! 

The coward was a troubled person. He used his words to control his prey. He hid behind weapons to gain control. He beat my daughter and threatened her life, her kids and anyone else attached to her for that matter. He had a history of beating women. Wanting control and felt that he deserved multiple women and they had to accept it. He preyed on women with children who may seem to have low self esteem, one who would or could be easily manipulated and vulnerable. My daughter thought she could help him change by showing the love she was brought up with even with an absent father. She was vibrant, the life of the party. A prankster but a kind soul and with a huge heart.

Her final week here on earth was grim! The coward was in prison prior and was released and out of jail within 9 months on a 5 year sentence! A wrap sheet as long as the State of Texas! He was just out two weeks before the death of my daughter. Voice recordings and letters proving that he was set out to kill her when he got out. He stalked her and made truth to his threats and promises. Police were sought for help but nothing happened to protect her from this tragedy. They were too late. To make matters worse, the coward took his own life hours after taking hers. He leaves a suicide letter claiming mental awareness but in the end of this letter he addresses another woman and states she was given a second chance at life unlike my daughter. A SLAP IN THE FACE was his last demonic statement!

The laws must change! We should not make it an awareness after a loss! It should be made law so others can live! Why was he released so soon only to hurt again!? Had he stayed to finish his sentence, my daughter would still be alive to this day! Her children would still have their mother! I would still have my daughter! Yet we are comforted  that he is one off the streets to not hurt another soul. But there are others out there just like him. Women are being hurt, abused, killed this moment! It has to STOP!
