Reopen MUNI Bus Route 48 in Noe Valley

The Issue

Please help us bring the 48 Quintana/24 street back to its original route. Since the MUNI rerouted the bus off of Hoffman & Grand View Avenue people with disabilities or seniors are forced to find other ways to get home especially when out shopping with heavy bags.

People many times don’t want to go out because it’s too difficult to get home.

The SFMTA web site says “48 24th Street Reroute in Noe Valley
Temporary, Until Further Notice”.  MUNI can’t explain what they mean by temporary.

Due to the Pandemic we understand that MUNI needed to change many routes & make some changes due to lack of operators.  Now with service being restored in many areas of the city it’s time to bring the 48 bus back to its original route.

I have sent many emails to people at MUNI with very few responses & no concrete information as to when they plan to restore the route. They did agree to make a stop at Grand View & Clipper but that is like temporary adding a bandage to the situation but it doesn’t solve the problem.

We need MUNI to respond to the request to bring back the 48 bus. Emails to Jeffrey Tumlin go ignored.

On behalf on many people that live on the old route please sign the petition. Your support will benefit many people that live on the suspended route  & thank you for your support.
