Teachers in the Middle Country Central School District have been working without a contract for more than 200 days. Despite continued dedication to students and concessions made by educators, negotiations remain unresolved.

This prolonged delay is unacceptable.

Teachers are the foundation of our schools. When they are left without a contract, it impacts morale, stability, and ultimately the educational environment our children deserve. Prolonged inaction reflects a failure of leadership and a lack of urgency that undermines public trust.

As parents, guardians, taxpayers, and community members, we are calling on the Board of Education to act now.

We demand that the Board of Education:

Immediately prioritize and finalize a fair teachers’ contract

Engage in transparent, good-faith negotiations
Demonstrate accountability and urgency in resolving this matter
Reevaluate board leadership roles if progress continues to stall

Our teachers show up for our children every day—without hesitation and without excuses. They deserve respect, fairness, and leadership that values collaboration over delay.
