Everybody remembers that first snow flake that comes out of the sky, floating down and settling on a blade of grass on the green. That single snowflake is responsible for an insurmountable expression of joy hoping to not have to come in the next day. Nowadays, that joy is being taken away by online schooling and the sacred day that is the Snow Day is dwindling away. Students look forward to snow days and use them as a way to connect with their families, study, catch up on work, and last but not least, rest their mind which they are so valiantly using. Also, students that are at home need to shovel the snow so they do not get stuck, this is also being widely overlooked! A Snow Day will help students become more engaged in following classes because they will have a boost of energy due to the rest that they receive on that Snow Day. Lets keep the Snow Day alive and push for classes to be cancelled when it snows, bringing back the joy of snow falling outside a students window, waiting for the call that gives them four more hours of sleep!
