Extend commuter rail service from Norristown to Reading!!!

Extend commuter rail service from Norristown to Reading!!!
The Issue
SEPTA needs to order some Bombardier ALP-45DP Dual-Power Locomotives (similar to those used by NJ Transit) so that service can be extended from Norristown to Reading (for connections to BARTA) via Phoenixville, Royersford, and Pottstown. These places have not had rail service since 1981, and DOZENS of residents of these areas are angry about it due to traffic overcrowding on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and US Highway 422. This new potential service would allow easy commutes into Center City Philadelphia, and it would SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the amount of traffic overcrowding on U.S 422 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Although the Reading Franklin Street Station is now owned by BARTA, connections from SEPTA to BARTA could easily be made at the station with the new potential service. Plus, SEPTA and BARTA could team up to preserve the historic railroad stations along the line, including the Phoenixville and Pottstown stations. Plus, it would link Reading to intercity passenger rail services without the need to drive 30 miles to the Lancaster station, which is currently the closest intercity passenger rail station to Reading.
