As the world becomes more and more interconnected, technology has begun to be considered as a convenient and useful tool for communication between individuals, a situation that has facilitated participation in some of the engagements that were challenging sometimes. Today’s world is an era of technology, and this technology is constantly changing. Technology became a part of everyone's life, specifically us, students. Almost all learners have their own mobile phones as for this kind of thing is very much beneficial for them.

Since our target students are from the ABM strand, we, ABM Advocates are aiming for the recognition of our concern by the Senior High School Administrators, wherein we want them to provide scientific calculators for us. One main reason why we are pursuing this petition is that not every student can afford to buy one. In addition, there will be times that students borrow calculators from their friends from other sections just to have something to be used. Mostly, teachers won't give students permission to use their cellphones as a substitution for calculators or to do calculations, in view of the fact that students can do things simultaneously with the use of it. The ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management) strand has subjects that happen to demand to do droves of calculations. The scientific calculator can be used in various aspects and situations because of its different functions that cannot be seen in a basic calculator, leading to a point that it is undeniably a necessary piece for every ABM learner. Mathematics teachers face the challenge of integrating calculator use in their classrooms. Calculators provide advantages for students when performing calculations and they can provide teachers with a versatile instructional tool. It is important to properly integrate calculator use so that students can derive the full benefit of familiarity with the instrument while maintaining a high level of student proficiency with paper and pencil calculations. However, many say that it carries off the ability of students to execute basic calculations but then considering that in Senior High School, calculations in Mathematics are somewhat harder, perhaps it'll be understandable.

We won't be asking for high-quality scientific calculators, what we only want is that students will be provided with a certain quantity of calculators that can be borrowed from their teachers during their time or class period. We understand that this project will take time and will be needing funds but our team won't hesitate to cooperate. We are ready to raise funds by doing activities and signature campaigns if needed. The participation of students will be highly appreciated and of course signing this petition will make a huge impact on us.
