Make the final nine weeks grade pass/fail for Seneca Valley

The Issue

Since all Pennsylvania high schools have been closed indefinitely, we as Seneca Valley students are petitioning the final nine weeks of grading be altered to better fit the circumstances that have occurred due to the Covid-19 virus. This unfortunate and unexpected pandemic has been a cause of unnecessary stress for both students and families of the world. This is why we as Seneca Valley students would like to ask the school board to suspend the current letter grading system and continue with a pass-fail system for the remainder of the fourth nine weeks. Institutions such as Harvard University, Duke university, The University of North Carolina, and UW Madison have already restructured their grading system to a pass-fail grade. We ask Seneca Valley joins these institutions to provide a better learning environment for the Students at Seneca Valley.
