WE are failing our children and adolescents. It is OUR responsibility to make sure to educate each child, the future generations of this country. We have seen our youth give up on themselves. We see this as students have record failing grades. Students  are thinking about quitting a school completely. Students as young as 12 years of age in record numbers are giving up on school and turning to the streets for their interactions. They are engaging in crime, drugs, and alcohol. Even more scary is the amount of young people that are depressed, suicidal and have actually committed suicide.  This is even more aggravated by the fact that if these students suffering from isolation are admitted to the hospital, their parents, and family can not visit. Video chatting, and virtual learning is NOT a solution, it has become the problem. Our older generations have lived a full life, and were given a real opportunity in this country to become anything that they wanted to become. However, our younger generations are being denied these opportunities. The sacrifice  of our youth's educations, mental health, futures and lives is not the answer. It is bad policy, bad leadership, and judgement. Adults in this country have a foundation given to them because they were allowed to be educated correctly and completely. Teachers went to school and chose their careers. Without a solid foundation for each child, means a weak foundation for this country. It means the gap between the poor and the rich will grow, and middle class will not exist. It is their human right to have a REAL education, it is OUR responsibility to give them this. Education should never be denied, and virtual learning is NOT a REAL education. Children can not vote, and they do not have the power to speak out. It is our RESPONSIBILTY to do what is legally in the best interest of the child, and OUR government, health departments, and Educational system is FAILING at doing this. It is a legal REQUIREMENT that the state government provide a public EDUCATION to all school aged children, and they are REFUSING to do their JOB. 

IF this does not change IMMEDIATELY then everyone of the elected officials will not be supported when re-election comes back around. The Boston Tea Party was a boycott about taxes without representation. We the citizens of New York pay our school taxes and we have not seen representation of this tax money going to actually educating OUR children. If OUR children are NOT being educated then we should NOT pay the SCHOOL TAXES until this changes.
