Glue traps are coated with an extremely strong adhesive. Any animal who touches one becomes stuck and unable to escape. Some rodents bite through their own limbs to attempt to free themselves but it is a fruitless effort. They will eventually die from exhaustion, dehydration, suffocation and starvation.  These glue traps catch individual animals but do nothing to support the long-term solution. No animal or even insects need to die a slow, torturous death from a glue trap.

Using a glue trap is never a good idea, even if you think you have a rodent problem. Although they may be inexpensive, and their cheerful packaging proclaims these traps to be "safe, clean and nontoxic" nothing could be further from the truth. Glue traps should never be used under any circumstance for any reason.

Anyone and everyone who cares about the suffering of animals needs to sign this petition to stop the sale and use of these cruel and inhumane devices.
