Bring peace and quiet to Tualatin and Sherwood. Soundproof the shooting range.

Bring peace and quiet to Tualatin and Sherwood. Soundproof the shooting range.
The Issue
Tualatin and Sherwood residents live with the sound of gunfire overhead, from the nearby Tri-County Gun Club. Since 124th was completed, which runs between Tualatin and the Gun Club, and with the continued development of industrial buildings, the sound has increased dramatically. Now, many residents can hear the gunfire while inside their homes. This is not a healthy environment to live in.
The solution is to hold gun ranges responsible for the noise they create. Our elected officials can and must author and champion for laws that protect its constituents from the sound of active gunfire in their communities, schools, parks, places of worship and in their own backyards.
The importance of this goes far beyond noise; but is indeed a safety and a health issue. Residents who live with the sound of gunfire surrounding them are far less likely to call the police when they hear gunfire, because they don’t. They wouldn’t know if there was an active shooter nearby, because they would assume that the sound was coming from the range.
As development continues, this problem is going to continue to grow. Now is the time to make your voice louder than the gunfire and demand change. Save our cities.
