Victims staying silent for years. Victims not being believed. We hear about it as we read about Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen and in the #MeToo hashtag and viral movement on social media. Survivors of child sexual abuse and their supporters already understand why victims often don’t disclose right after the abuse happens. The rest of the world is starting to realize this too. Now is the time for us to push for SOL reform again. Statutes of limitation are what keep dangerous people on the street and in society, victimizing more innocent children.
