All of us live with a constant barrage of bad news these days. But there is some good news out there. This petition proves that thousands of you believe that our laws should protect children from sexual abuse, not sex offenders from consequences. And thousands of you care enough to sign this petition. This might be the year that Pennsylvania fixes its backwards laws and protects children. This might be the year where we make happy endings, like this one in Utah, available to all sexual abuse survivors in the state. However, the opponents to this bill are well-funded and committed to keeping survivors out of court and to keeping sex offenders above the law. So we need a show of force for our elected officials.
