Dear Baltimore Orioles fans,

This is a request for your signature to endorse the following action described below. Sign the petition! 

In the wake of the recent statements by Baltimore Orioles Managing Partner and Chair, John Angelos, in which he states the unlikelihood of retaining the young core of talent that would have The Orioles in position to contend for World Championships for many years to come, we the people of the great State of Maryland and the City of Baltimore request an aggressive and rapid action is taken to sell the franchise. The tone-deaf timing of these statements, while in the midst of an American League Pennant chase, must have been perplexing for any of the Orioles' young stars to read. Furthermore, for the fans of The Baltimore Orioles, who've endured 40 years without a Championship, and to finally experience a revitalized pool of talent, having to read these comments by Mr. Angelos has thrown a dark cloud over an otherwise exciting season. 

While none of the current players' contract terms are of immediate need for renewal, many competent Baseball Front Offices recognize the value of extending its young players in advance. Not only does this invest in players before they are at their most leveraged position but it also tells the players and fans that ownership is serious about an extended period of contending. This is not evident of the Orioles Front Office.  

We demand the immediate sale of The Baltimore Orioles to a worthy buyer, group or perhaps to the citizens of Maryland! This petition will be presented to Major League Baseball, The Governor of Maryland and The Mayor of Baltimore.
