There is bipartisan agreement with the statement: Women are equal to men. 

On a similar vein, men between the ages of 18-25 are required by law to register for the Selective Service (SSS) in the United States of America. By registering, men become eligible for jobs, federal student aid, federal-funded job training, and other benefits. Failure to do so will result in the loss of these benefits and can cripple an individual's chances of success. Currently, women are not required to register for the SSS and receive the same benefits that men receive only if they register for the SSS.

Equality between men and women should be clear. Why do we have this outdated viewpoint (of women not belonging in the Army) still effecting modern society? 

Seeing this disparity, there are two solutions: either require women to register with the SSS, or get rid of the SSS entirely. Equality is everything in modern society. Women have just as big a role in society that men do. Let's let the policies of the United States reflect this viewpoint.
