Bring back the signature Cikal!

The Issue

Since the very beginning, Cikal has lived with its signature orange colors. The logo that appears fun and childish, the uniforms uses bright colors and reflects cheerfulness. Its slogan, stating "Refleksi Cinta Keluarga" that indirectly define connecting family in our daily life.

However, on the 22nd of July, this all changed. Cikal has decided to alter its logo and identity to a much more modernised, sleek logo. Inside it, lives many aspects of meaning and philosophy, each color and shape has its own meaning to it. A very diverse logo indeed. Their slogan now stands as "Transforming Beyond Together". Uniforms now change to a much more minimalistic design. This is all a big change that we'll have to live with.

I've been in Cikal for about 10 years, this change is really something big to me. I've lived with bright orange colors 5 days a week. While its rather their decision to make. Cikal left out its community to decide whether or not this change should be implemented. There are certainly two sides on this change. While I prefer the older version, one of a more simpler way is to revise the plans for the logo, uniform and slogan to still continue what the Cikal legacy means to us, the students. Staying neutral is whats best for all of us, being considerate to their decision but staying true to your wishes. There's still much more to explain about why the older version of the logo, uniform and slogan appears and interacts with us better, moreover, there's much to explain on why I dislike the change. If you want to see others' comments, check out @sekolahcikal Instagram account, click on a post about the logo change and see the comments. Sign the petition! We will miss you old cikal...

Sincerely, Aqma Rafif H.

I'm sincerely sorry if this is too personal, I have all respects for the people behind this. I hope Cikal will take this petition in an open-mind (also known for being open-minded). Thanks for your attention! Stay Safe!
