I know that there's already a petition out supporting this statement, which has reached over 5000 signatures, thanks to my help, i have been showing the utmost support for it, but anyway lets get into why I've decided to make one as well. I really don't like to post stuff online that goes against anyone in any way, but after carefully thinking this through, and despite how much support the other petition has gotten, I've decided that i as well will be joining in supporting this cause, and to help in spreading the word. now keep in mind that i don't hate anyone, that's too harsh of a term for me, i just don't like the actions that some people have taken, but anyway lets dive into this. Ian Flynn as we all know, is the current writer for sonic the hedgehog, he has been the writer since 2006, at first he seemed like a decent guy, sure his comics may have gotten intense, but over time, his writing had slowly been getting worse and worse, he had been writing story arcs for the archie comics, that had gotten some outrage from fans, although most of the character's designs in the archie reboot, like sally, Nicole Antione, and Bunnie, i will admit are pretty good, minus Dulcy's new design, its only the story arcs that he's been writing is what I, and many fans have a real problem with, he's been wanting to intensify the arcs, and wanting to make them more like the games, and fans don't want that. the story arc that was a big outrage to fans was the super genesis wave arc, non of the freedom fighters were killed, but lots of other lovable characters were, he knows people don't want to see these kind of stories, but he just makes them anyway, he basically only makes story arcs for his own entertainment, and nobody else's. he has stated in response to people criticizing him that everything he does is what Sega has told him to do, and that he's mandated to writing these stories and Sega has a list of mandates, but Sega has stated that they have never made such mandates, and co writer Evan Stanley has expressed a possibility that Ian Flynn had written those mandates himself, there is no definitive proof of those mandates being fake, except for the ones I've mentioned, but i have no doubt to believe they are and that Ian Flynn is telling lies again, and typing the mandate list in a way that looks like Sega made it as a method of cover up. However, i have heard people say that he does much better writing for the Mega man comics than he does with sonic, but in any case, i just want him to stop writing for sonic, if not entirely. Ian could possibly be partially to blame for the downfall of the archie comics, although i don't want to jump to conclusions on that, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. he has also stated numerous times a couple years ago that he was working towards bringing the freedom fighters back, when opportunity knocks, but at this point its only obvious that he has made no efforts whatsoever, and if he was actually trying, he would've done so by now. he has never admitted to what he truly feels about the freedom fighters, but from some of his statements, he's never admitted to liking them, nor has he admitted to hating them, but we're inclined to believe that his thoughts towards them very likely isn't positive, and there is some evidence on the internet to support that too. nowadays whenever somebody asks him about the freedom fighters, he'll either not answer the question directly, or he'll just completely, change the topic, example is when someone asked him if the freedom fighters will be coming back, and he was quickly dismissive towards them and said, the freedom fighters are interesting, but are not relevant, and another one was when someone asked him of his thoughts about the freedom fighters and he responded asking if anyone had a sonic game based on a sandwich shop. he'll find ways to avoid the topic, or at least make the topic seem as if its not important enough to discuss. its only safe to say that Ian Flynn is slightly annoyed at the fact that the freedom fighters and SATAM are so popular and beloved among fans, although he's never said it explicitly, his comments and behavior suggests that he feels like they're getting more attention and respect that he believes they deserve, its possible he could be a bit envious of the show's popularity and resents the fact that fans have created such a strong bond with these characters. he also blocks people from his social medias, that are SATAM fans, and has criticized the show for focusing 95 percent on sally, although he was probably being sarcastic when saying that, later he did straight out go and tell everyone that the freedom fighters aren't coming back next year or the year after or the year after, which is a good piece of evidence that shows he doesn't like the characters, fun fact, Sega never even wanted to hire this man in the first place, he had actually tried numerous times to get in, but Sega turned him down each time, the only reason why Sega hired him was because they had fired one of their previous writers, and were desperate and needed a spot to fill in and Ian Flynn immediately took that spot, and he's been the head writer ever since, but even then there were still people in Sega who were skeptical of hiring him, and they were right to suspect him. I've heard that he's also been mocking a few people that have bought his comics for whatever reason, and he's also written two episodes for sonic boom and both episodes had gotten bad reviews, while the first IDW comic he's published was a success, over time less and less people have been wanting to buy his comics. Ian Flynn has also made his own fan comics of what he thinks of the freedom fighters and lets just say, its pretty violent, and even involves self-harm too, he 100 percent needs to be fired, sonic has jumped numerous sharks cause of him, and the franchise is hanging on a thread as it is. i honestly don't think they've been able to come up with a good sonic game since sonic forces, although i heard Ian Flynn didn't write that game, which explains why it was good. he has constantly stated that Sega doesn't own the freedom fighters and has no rights to them, despite he's been proven wrong numerous times, Ian Flynn says that he's doing what he does to make sonic a better franchise, but instead he's doing the exact opposite, Ian just really needs to be fired in order to improve the franchise, and until he is, we cant expect to see the freedom fighters, or any other archie characters return any time soon. here is also a video i watched which also shows how bad he is, https://youtu.be/8KsFeFbf2CQ?si=hemcHhEe8nFdZNGV ,  and here's a link to the other petition too,  https://www.change.org/p/sega-impeach-ian-from-idw . now despite that i want him out, that doesn't mean i want his new characters he's made, to leave too, like tangle, whisper, and jewel, i really like, in fact i think the diamond cutters and the freedom fighters should be cannon in the same universe if you ask me, here's a link to a petition i made about that as well, https://www.change.org/p/sega-make-the-freedom-fighters-and-diamond-cutters-cannon-in-the-same-universe , and hopefully when the freedom fighters do return, that they will be used in their reboot designs, cause i kind of like those better to tell you the truth, except for Dulcy's,  i just want the story arcs to be better is all, and id also like there to be a follow up arc to the super genesis wave, where the old multiverse gets restored somehow, i have a petition for that too https://www.change.org/p/sega-undue-the-events-of-the-super-genesis-wave-and-restore-the-old-multiverse?source_location=tag_ , and finally this one although it seems minor to some, the character Tiara Boobowski as I've mentioned before is a scrapped sonic character who has been turned down at each opportunity for unknown reasons, and Ian Flynn has stated that due to the cancellation of the archie comics, its unlikely that she will ever become a character in the comics for reasons that he cant disclose, which sounds kind of suspicious to me, knowing Ian, i don't think he's being very truthful, so i will post my petition link for that as well and we'll prove him wrong, https://www.change.org/p/sega-please-make-tiara-boobowski-the-manx-an-official-sonic-character . i believe that once he's out of office we can help in making sonic great again, I'm counting on all of you to show this petition, and the rest of mine your utmost support, to help get Ian Flynn out of our hair.
