this is one thing that has been on my mind recently, and it has come to my attention that i am going to be the one to take action, i haven't kept too up to date with the sonic archie comics, but after reading about this, and from what I've heard from fans on DeviantArt, the super genesis wave wiped out and entire universe, this was during the section of the comic where mega man crossed over with sonic, and I've heard that while mega man managed to save his universe, sonic wasn't able to to stop the genesis wave in time before his universe was wiped from existence, and replaced with another, and knowing that possibility that a dozen characters, like Fiona and scourge, although only rumored, jullie-su, laura-su, Manic and Sonia, along with various other characters too, that didn't deserve their fates, again its not confirmed if they did get wiped from it, and what's worse is that Ian Flynn and Ken Penders were the ones who wrote this arc, which gives us another reason to despise them. i was absolutely shocked that they would go so far in intensifying the franchise like that, i liked it better back when the franchise was completely wholesome. numerous sonic fans would agree that this story arc was possibly one of the things that led to the cancellation of the archie comics, and the other being the legal lawsuit stuff, or conflicts Sega faced while working with archie. most fans would agree that the Super genesis wave should've never happened, and that it caused outrages for fans, and Ian Flynn making the comics so intense has gotten quite out of hand with it, people say they hate his writing, and refuse to buy sonic comics of recent days that were written by him, and i can't blame them, he did well when he first started, but over the course of his time for writing sonic, he's slowly been taking things too far, even writing his own fan comic of what he thinks of the freedom fighters, and lets just say, i was shocked. I understand that people on reddit, and DeviantArt say that there's no way the damage can be undone, but in making this pettition, i am hoping that it will be taken into consideration, should Ian Flynn ever step down from writing the comics, and make a story with a better outcome where the old multiverse and its inhabitants get restored, although it may sound a bit tough, now that Sega is no longer associated with archie, but i am willing to fight for the sake of the sonic franchise and make a change as best i can, and i hate that Ian Flynn states that the archie comics are not cannon, but IDW is, like why can't the freedom fighters or the diamond cutters just be cannon in the same universe, its so ridiculous? although i have shared a pettition link to impeach Ian Flynn on twitter, and will admit that i did call him out as well, and other users have criticized me for doing so too, but I've learned to ignore them, and if you wish to see the link to the Ian Flynn petition, I'll send a link to that as well, and tell him to stick to mega man, because he does much better with that franchise than sonic, link right here https://www.change.org/p/sega-impeach-ian-from-idw
